Artist Statement

I am a Norwegian artist living and working in the Oslo area.

 

My passion lies in capturing the light and motion in nature - and in people's hearts. I am exploring how the light changes our perception of reality, always looking for that magic light.

​For the most part I work with paintings, both acrylic and oil. I am inspired by the spirit of earth, forest and water. Nature communicates in magical  ways. I strive to express the voice of nature through my artwork. My working process is intuitive and exploratory. 

​

I am also working on techniques of Collagraph and mixed-media printmaking. I experiment with different natural materials, such as grass and herbs, sand, plaster and modelling paste, looking for forms that express the universal aspects of nature.
